Indications
Iodex is used as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent in case of:

acute and chronic periodontitis

pulpitis
-
recurrent infection after obturation
-
treatment of infected root canals
-
treatment of caries of 3rd and 4th degree
Iodex has bactericidal and antiseptic effects, eliminates the odor, stimulates protective attribute of periapical tissues and does not block the formation of subjacent dental germ. On the X-ray the length of filled canal can be determined exactly due to material properties. Since the paste does not set, treatment might be continued in second visit that helps to minimize the risk for canal to be blocked in consequence of its filling.
