Neomycin sulfate is active against many types of chloramphenicol-resistant microorganisms. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, which is effective against many types of cocci and gram-negative bacteria. Dexamethasone arrests acute inflammatory, allergic and painful processes in periapical tissues.
