Indications
Material is used as a post-extraction alveolar dressing. Alvostase (sponge) are hemostatic collagen cubes (1 cm x 1 cm x 1 cm), impregnated with active paste.
Alvostase is a special remedy for treatment and prophylaxis of alveolitis. Introduced into the tooth socket, Alvostase rapidly alleviates the pain and eliminates inflammatory process after tooth extraction. Material has therapeutic effect for a few hours and after that it is gradually resorbed in the tooth socket. Active ingredients do not provoke the inflammation of oral mucosa. If used as a prophylactic instrument after tooth extraction, Alvostase works towards rapid and painless healing of tooth socket.
